Overview
The Sumatra wrapper is one of the cigar world's great all-day workhorses: a medium-bodied leaf built on tobacco seed that originated in the Deli region of the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Prized for its earthy depth, toasty character, and gentle spice, Sumatra sits comfortably between the creamy mildness of a Connecticut and the pepper of a Habano. Today the seed is grown both in Indonesia and, increasingly, in Ecuador, but the signature is consistent: a smooth, versatile smoke that plays well with almost any occasion.
